    FAQs

Can I Update My Site Theme or Plugins?

If it works on WordPress, it will work on the Headless Hostman.

Updating to the latest version of anything is generally advisable, but not fully needed. Your live site is not using WordPress at all, so there are no vulnerabilities.

Switch your theme, add Plugins, do your thing.

    Does Ajax Work?

    Yes, it does.

Our goal is to reduce the amount of work needed to get your site onto Static to the bare minimum.

We set your Headless environment to route Ajax requests back to your Staging Site to return results to the Static Site. We obfuscate your URL so the Staging Site URL is never exposed. We also don’t allow any other sites to make those requests.

Can I Use My Own CDN?

    Yes, you can.

During onboarding we will establish the CDN with your team.

Generally, Headless Hostman sites are using ours for optimal performance.

Do Caching/Optimizing Plugins like WP Rocket Work?

For CSS, JS, and HTML minifications, CSS reduction, lazyloading, and related optimization functions, yes.

The actual “Caching” components don’t take any effect and are only meant for non-static websites. When we convert your pages to Static, and push them live, they are inherently cached on the Headless Hostman.

There’s no need to deactivate them, although if you find Conversion and Push methods are not showing the most up-to-date content, you may need to clear those caches.

Did You Build This All Yourself?

    Yes, we did.

We rely on no third-party services or code for the functionality.

How Good is Your Static Hosting?

We host all Static sites on a Cloudflare infrastructure, the leader in speed, performance, and security.

What If I Want to Cancel?

    It’s simple.

Migrate your WordPress site to a new host and change up the DNS.

We’ll be sorry to see you go, but the wind-down process is as easy as set up.

    What Are You Wearing?

    White Dress Shirt.

    Red Socks.

    Fedora, but no head.
